Most pro bowlers drill their own bowling balls. Pro bowlers tend to own bowling shops or they have drill equipment at their home. All the pro bowlers I have seen, have drilling equipment at their home. By drilling their own bowling balls, their company can just send them new bowling balls and they can drill how they want it. this also saves money so they don’t have to pay someone else to drill the ball for them. How does increasing the rev rate helps in bowling?

The most hardest thing to do in bowling is increasing your rev rate. Putting more spin on a bowling ball has it’s pros and cons but for the most part increasing your rev rate or having a high rev rate tends to knock down mor pins. Think about like throwing a football and baseball, the more spin on the ball, the more the football or baseball will go further and less the wind will affect. When you increase your rev rate, the bowling ball will hit the pins harder and create more pin action. Compare to a bowler with less

How much do bowling shoes cost to rent?

It is different from bowling alley to bowling alley but I have seen prices of bowling shoes from 5 bucks for the time you bowl to less than that during times where not a lot of people bowl. On weekends, Friday and Saturday nights tend to have higher prices for bowling with games, food and renting bowling shoes. If you know you will be bowling one than once or you will be bowling more

Yes and no and it really depends on the lanes. Some lanes are very slick and oily and need something very strong to go though the oil. Maybe you are some lanes where the lanes for dry and need something weaker. I change my bowling balls based on how to oil is. I have a bowling ball for dry lanes and a bowling ball for heavy oil and a bowling for the in between. So we all should be having different bowling balls for different lanes.
