How do I generate more bowling ball speed?

Generating more ball speed is nothing new to bowling and it is very easy to do. Most bowlers think that all you have to do is throw the bowling ball harder or with more power to make more bowling speed. You can do that but that may put more pressure on your body and you can’t aim by throw the bowling ball harder.

The best thing that you can do is step back from your approach on the lane. Stepping back a foot will increase your bowling speed. Keep this in mind, the closer you are to the foul line, the slower you will throe the bowling ball but the further away you are from the foul line, the more speed and the faster you will throw the bowling ball.

This happens because the closer you are to the foul line, you don’t have much time to roll the bowling ball while going though your approach so you will roll the ball and the further away you are, the more speed you can collect for power.

It’s just like driving a car, the further down the street you are, the more speed and time you get up but if you closer to a stop sign, the speed you can pick up and this works the same way in bowling. So if you want to generate more ball speed, step back on your approach and do that little by little.

One quick tip, once I find my line that I want to bowl on, once that line starts to burn out or get dry, I can step back 2 feet or less and generate more ball speed so I can play the same line. If I want to slow my ball speed down, I would step up on my approach to generate less ball speed.
