There a few things that you can do to protect your thumb while bowling. The best way to protect your thumb is to stop squeezing the bowling ball when you release. By squeezing the bowling ball, you can harm your thumb and peel some of the skin off your thumb.

Relax and the bowling ball come off your thumb and don’t squeeze. I like to use bowling tape on my thumb because sometimes my thumb swells up over time and it’s hard to get my thumb out off the ball. With bowling tape, the bowling ball can come off your thumb much better and the bowling tape can help protect your thumb.
