So it’s the 10th frame of a tight game, you must strike out to win or tie and you are the last bowler on the team so you must win the game. Or you must strike out so your team can win. When it’s your turn to bowl, your hands get nervous and shaky, your blood is pumping hard, everyone is looking at you wanting you to win the game and its on to win the game. When it’s your turn to bowl and the nerves got the best of you and you miss and throw a split or didn’t strike to win the game. So how do you bowl great in the 10th frame and how you manage the nerves.

Things to keep in mind while bowling:

We all want to win but keep in mind that bowling is sometimes a team sport. Bowling was meant to be fun and we all win some and lose some. It happens even to the pro’s. I have seen a pro needed to hit the 10 pin to win the match and he missed it badly. That pro that was on TV never missed a ten pin the whole TV tournament until that day so everyone has those bad games.

The main thing to do is to bowl your best. The 10th frame is a frame where I use it to bowl to win the game or find a new line for the next game. Some pro’s do this when they have a big lead on their opponent and they change bowling balls in the 10th frame to see what the ball will do just in case they have to change balls in the next match, I will do the same thing. But you are here to learn how to bowl your best game in the 10th frame.

How to bowl your best in the 10th frame?

The first thing that I do is see what the score is first. If it’s a tight game, I would use the mark I used all game but sometimes that mark that you had was not working though the game so right now you are lost. The one thing that I do is make one small adjustment while bowling. This could be moving your feet 1 or 2 boards with my feet and one at my target. Not only try to make a new move but stick with the choice. The move is so small that your ball reaction should not be too much and way off your target but keep in mind that any small thing you do can a big impact on the game.

Follow though with your shot, Commit to your target that you are throwing to and follow though with your shot. When the game is going on is it;s a tight game, during the 5th frame to the 10th frame, you should be trying to find your line or target. There is 3 games in league play.

IF you are losing the match and there is not way to catch up to win, use the remaining frames to find your shot. try switching to a different ball to see how it does. Try moving your target. Just cause you lose the first game does not mean you will lose the next 2 games. You can win the next 2 games.

Bottom line is that you remember that it’s just a game and always follow though whatever you are doing.
