To make this easy, I will talk about the 3 different types of bowling balls. There are more than 3 different types but lets go over the 3 main ones first. When buying a bowling ball online or offline, you will see 3 different types.
There is your high end bowling ball or very strong bowling ball, there is your middled tier or mid-tier and then it’s your lower tier or your dry lane bowling all. Don’t think that a strong ball is the best thing to have. Those types of bowling ball are very hard to control and they can hook way too much for a lot of people. Strong or high end bowling balls, do not bowl well on dry lanes, in fact it’s the worst thing you can use on a dry lane.
Dry lane bowling ball does very well on dry lanes and strong bowling ball does well on heavy oil lanes. That mid-tier ball is good when the lanes start to break down. So in bowling you need different types of bowling balls on different types of lanes. I know of a bowling alley that is older and my high end balls will not work, I have to use weaker equipment. And there are lanes where it’s heavy oil and I need something strong.
