Why do bowling balls feel greasy

In bowling, every time you roll your bowling ball, the ball will pick up some of the oil that is on the floor. Some bowling balls will soak up more oil than other bowling balls. The reason bowling balls feel greasy is the bowling ball picks up oil when anyone uses that ball and that ball up soak oil on the floor.

Bowling ball that are high performance will most likely soak up more oil on the bowling lane. High performance bowling balls needs oil in order to hook more so they tend to use more oil and soak up more oil more time. This is why high performance Bowling balls feel the most greasy of them all. Low performance bowling balls tend to be less greasy cause they are built for medium to low oil on the bowling floor.

You use low performance For low oil on the floor. You use a high performance Bowling ball on high volume oil or fresh lanes. Plastic bowling balls can soak up some oil be that tend to push oil down lane. So how can we make the bowling ball less greasy?

How to get off oil off a greasy bowling ball:

The first thing that you can do is clean your bowling balls every 9 to 12 games that you bowl. By cleaning your bowling ball clean, your ball you performance will not go down and the ball will not feel so greasy. To clean your bowling ball you need to use a bowling ball cleaner and the one that I use is here and it’s on amazon so you can buy thus anytime. Keeping you bowling ball clean will help with the performance And helping the ball last longer.

The next thing that you can do is wipe off the bowling ball evetime you use the ball and it comes back in the ball return. You would use a bowling ball towel to wipe off the ball which will wipe off the oil on the ball so the oil wont stay on the ball. By doing this every time or every other time,  this will help the ball feel less greasy.

Using a house ball or the bowling ball at the bowling center, that are most times feel greasy so you can use a bring your own towel to wipe off the bowling ball. I would not use a bowling cleaner on a house bowling ball or a bowling ball from the bowling alley. I would wipe off what I can from your bowling ball towel and if you are looking for one you can click here for the one that I use.
